Hard disk drive shortage will get worst
ever since the introduction of hard disk drives to the computing industry we expect the price of storage devices will get lowered every year and the performance & capacity will get increased. For the past few months we are witnessing a phenomenon which is never expected in industry .
May be for the first time in IT segment , a natural calamity is bringing down a huge industry in an unexpected way . The floods that hit Thailand also caused a worldwide increase in price of the hard disk .
as a person who has to answer customer queries about the pricing , I am really fed up with answering all the questions about why we are charging an exorbitant amount for the hard disks and for some guys out there , it is not conceivable that a flood on a distant nation is the reason for it. Most of our computer customers still believe that each and every part of their machine is produced in united states or at least in UK.
